Our client, a renowned creative studio specializing in digital media and entertainment, is seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Music Producer & Composer. This hybrid role allows for a blend of remote creative work and in-studio collaboration, based near Provo, Utah, US . You will be responsible for composing original music scores, producing soundtracks, and managing audio post-production for a wide range of projects, including film, television, video games, and advertising. The ideal candidate has a sophisticated musical sensibility, a mastery of music production software, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality audio experiences.
Responsibilities:
Compose original music scores and create soundscapes tailored to the specific needs of various media projects. Produce and mix music tracks using industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and audio software. Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and clients to understand their creative vision and deliver music that enhances the storytelling and emotional impact of their projects. Manage the entire music production process from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Oversee and conduct recording sessions with musicians, session players, and vocalists as needed. Ensure all audio elements are technically sound, meeting broadcast or distribution requirements. Develop and maintain a library of musical assets, including loops, samples, and stingers. Stay current with emerging trends in music production, composition, and audio technology for media. Provide creative input and feedback on audio aspects of projects during development. Manage relationships with external composers, sound designers, and vendors when required. Handle music licensing and rights clearance for incorporated elements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition, Audio Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent professional experience is highly valued. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in music production and composition for media (film, TV, games, advertising). Expert proficiency with DAWs such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, or Cubase, and a deep understanding of music theory and orchestration. Experience with sample libraries, virtual instruments, and music synthesis. Strong understanding of mixing, mastering, and audio post-production techniques. Excellent ear for detail, rhythm, melody, and harmony. Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet demanding deadlines. A diverse portfolio showcasing a range of musical styles and project types is essential. Experience with sound design is a plus.
