The Music Ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown seeks to glorify God through high-quality, spirit-filled music that nurtures faith, inspires joy, and builds community. Through congregational song, choral, and instrumental ensembles, and the inclusion of all ages, we offer our gifts in worship—celebrating God’s love, teaching the meaning of our texts, and welcoming all into a shared experience of sacred beauty.
Position Purpose and Context
Following the retirement of our long-time Director of Music, First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown seeks a spiritually grounded and collaborative leader to guide the next chapter of its rich musical tradition. The Director of Music Ministry will preserve and expand our choral excellence, encourage participation across all ages, and foster unity across diverse worship expressions.
Position Summary
The Director of Music Ministry leads and coordinates the comprehensive music program of First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown (FPC), fostering worship that is Christ-centered, participatory, and theologically rich. The Director will direct choirs and ensembles for all ages, collaborate with clergy and staff in worship planning, and guide the integration of varied musical expressions while preserving the church’s Reformed identity and choral excellence. This full-time position requires availability on afternoons/evenings (as scheduled for rehearsals, performances, etc.) and Sunday mornings.
