YOUTH MUSIC STUDIO PRODUCER – INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION OF MUSICIANS (CULVER CITY, CA)

If so, we invite you to join Notes for Notes® in Culver City, CA as our newest Producer, where you’ll bring your expertise to our Mar Vista Studio inspiring the next generation of music makers.

Notes for Notes® (N4N) is a national nonprofit organization that provides youth with free access to musical instruments, instruction, and recording studio environments—so that music can become a positive, transformative force in their lives.
Our studios, located in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs, schools, and community centers, are packed with everything from guitars and drums to keyboards, DJ gear, and professional recording equipment. Each space is designed to foster creativity, build confidence, and create a safe place for youth to explore, collaborate, and grow through music.

THE ROLE:
As our Producer, you’ll be the heartbeat of our after-school studio operations. From coaching budding musicians to guiding youth musical learning, you’ll inspire creativity and personal growth in our young talents. Whether it’s jam sessions, music theory workshops, or mastering Pro Tools sessions, your role is to make music education fun, accessible, and transformative.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Lead engaging daily music classes, jam sessions, and workshops
• Mentor young musicians and foster positive, lasting relationships
• Develop and deliver engaging music programs
• Teach recording, mixing, and production using Pro Tools, Ableton, or Logic Pro
• Help youth build their own Electronic Press Kits (EPKs) and portfolios
• Maintain studio equipment and ensure a safe, inspiring environment
• Collaborate with school partners and contribute to campus activities
• Capture and share studio moments that highlight youth creativity
• Organize schedules, track progress, and manage administrative tasks with finesse
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–7:30 PM (approximately 30-40 hours per week)
WHO YOU ARE:
• A skilled musician or producer with experience in one or more of the following: guitar, drums, keys, DJing, or music production
• Proficient in music production software (Pro Tools, Ableton, Logic Pro, or similar)
• Knowledgeable about studio hardware, from microphones and instruments to recording, mixing, and mastering
• A self-starter and add value to the Studio and organization as a whole
• A natural mentor who connects with youth from diverse backgrounds
• Organized, dependable, and full of positive energy
• Excited about community partnerships and youth engagement
• Bonus: Experience in fundraising, graphic design, or marketing
