Our client is seeking a highly creative and technically proficient Senior Sound Designer to join their fully remote team. This role is integral to crafting immersive and memorable audio experiences for a variety of cutting-edge entertainment projects. You will be responsible for the conceptualization, creation, and implementation of all sound effects, Foley, ambient soundscapes, and audio assets. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of audio middleware, digital audio workstations (DAWs), and sound design principles across different media platforms. You will collaborate closely with game designers, directors, and other audio team members to ensure the sound design aligns perfectly with the artistic vision and gameplay mechanics.

Key Responsibilities include:
Designing, recording, editing, and mixing high-quality sound effects and audio assets. Creating realistic and stylized soundscapes that enhance player immersion and emotional impact. Implementing audio assets into game engines and interactive environments using tools like Wwise or FMOD. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define audio requirements and deliver polished sound experiences. Mentoring junior sound designers and contributing to the overall artistic direction of the audio department. Troubleshooting audio-related issues and optimizing sound performance. Maintaining a high level of technical and creative output in a fast-paced, remote environment. Staying abreast of the latest trends and technologies in sound design and interactive audio. Contributing to sound-related documentation and asset management. Providing constructive feedback during audio reviews and team meetings.
Qualifications:
Proven professional experience as a Sound Designer, preferably with a focus on interactive media or games. Expertise in industry-standard DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Cubase, Reaper) and audio editing software. Proficiency with audio middleware such as Wwise or FMOD. Strong understanding of acoustics, signal processing, and mixing techniques. Excellent creative ear and a passion for audio storytelling. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting. Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for remote teamwork. A portfolio showcasing exceptional sound design work is required. Experience with voiceover direction and editing is a plus. Familiarity with music composition is beneficial.
