I’m looking for an experienced Pop Vocal Producer / Mixing Engineer to finish a single that already has a completed instrumental.
The instrumental is finished. I need someone to take my recorded vocals and turn them into a polished, professional-sounding vocal performance that fits the production.
Scope of work:
Vocal editing and cleanup
Vocal comping if necessary
Manual pitch correction / Melodyne or Auto-Tune
Timing correction
Lead vocal processing
Vocal EQ, compression, de-essing and saturation
Doubles, harmonies and ad-lib processing
Reverb and delay
Vocal automation
Creative vocal effects where appropriate
Mix vocals into the completed instrumental
Final mix and master suitable for streaming
Style: Modern dark pop / dance-pop / theatrical pop. I’m looking for a polished, emotional, atmospheric vocal sound with a strong commercial finish.
I am not looking for someone to produce the instrumental. The instrumental is already completed.
What I’m looking for:
Strong experience mixing pop vocals
Excellent pitch/timing editing skills
Experience with layered vocals and harmonies
A strong understanding of modern pop vocal production
Portfolio/examples of before-and-after vocal work
Someone who can preserve the character and emotion of the singer rather than over-processing the performance
