The History Department at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the History of Science and Technology to begin on July 1, 2027. Required Qualifications: PhD in History or related field by July 1, 2027, and evidence of excellence in teaching and scholarship. An offer of employment is contingent on a satisfactory pre-employment background check.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate studen ts at the introductory level as well as in upper-level courses in areas of scholarly focus. Teaching load of two courses per semester; salary competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
