I need someone to take two public domain songs and arrange each of them separately and then arrange/compose a merger of the two songs. One of them will be Chicago Blues and the other will be Yiddish swing.
This is for a musical that takes place in the 1940’s in Chicago. Union organizers are hosting a party. There are two bands at the party. First they play separately. Then they play together merging their music to create a new song.
I’m looking for someone with deep experience in Blues.
I am not ready to start immediately. I need to develop the story further before I will be ready to hire, so this is exploratory. Once I am ready to hire someone, this will not be a rush job. You’ll be able to do it at
your own convenience.
At the end of the project, I want to own all rights to the songs. You may receive credit, But I want the right to use, not use, or alter the music if that is required during the process of developing the musical. Ideally, I would hire you to do the alteration, but I would reserve the right to have someone else alter it. If I use the music substantially as you wrote it, I will credit you, if you want me to credit you. If I substantially alter the music, you can choose to have me remove your name from the credits.
