About the project:
I’m an artist and producer (rapper and singer) building my debut EP. My sound sits between melodic hip hop, R&B and trap, with live instrumentation and pop sensibility. Reference catalogs:

I’m looking for a co-producer who can help take strong song ideas and turn them into finished records, while teaching me the techniques behind each decision.
Responsibilities
• Develop song ideas and beat concepts into fully arranged records ready for release
• Program and refine drum patterns, 808s, fills and bass lines with strong groove and pocket
• Design and play synth parts, from Mike Dean style leads and swells to pads and textures
• Apply advanced music theory to chord progressions, reharmonization and melodic support
• Build signature transitions, beat switches and outros in the spirit of “Nights” (Frank Ocean), the second half of “90210” and “Oh My Dis Side” (Travis Scott), and Mike Dean’s synth work
• Explain techniques and decisions during sessions, so I keep building my own skills
• Deliver organized sessions and stems on schedule
Qualifications
• 3+ years of music production experience with a focus on MIDI programming, drum patterns, 808s and fills
• Proven ability to work quickly and deliver on agreed deadlines
• Experience collaborating remotely on large sessions, including screen sharing with remote control (or similar tools) when our plugins, instruments or sound libraries don’t match
• Strong file and storage management: organizing sound libraries, plugins and sample folders across drives, and delivering clean, portable sessions
• Comfortable teaching while working, and able to explain the “why” behind production choices
• Working knowledge of Ableton Live (preferred) or Logic Pro
• A portfolio in hip hop, R&B or trap (links required)
Scope
This role is focused on production. Mixing and mastering are not required, though I’m open to mixing services when a song calls for it.
Engagement terms
• Hourly contract with a weekly cap, organized per song (typically 3 to 4 hours per song)
• Sessions held live over screen share
