We are producing a private, one-afternoon live music event in Manhattan on Saturday, January 16, 2027, at a professional performance studio: a 45-minute show for about 75 guests plus a remote livestream audience, with a live band, video and photo montages on a big screen, a host, audience participation, and one timed entrance that has to land exactly.
The concept, script, running order, set design and guest list are done. The host is in the show and can’t run anything on the day. We need a creative producer who turns this plan into an exceptional live experience, and brings the team to do it.
What you’ll do
• Own the delivery of the show from now through strike, and hold the creative bar.
• Lead a small team you bring or hire: a video designer and an AV/playback tech.
• Make the screen exceptional: turn the montages and video messages into finished pieces with one visual style, and design the finale video and the remote-guest video wall.
• Make the tech work as one: projector and screen, playback, livestream, video wall and cues. The venue provides lighting and sound.
• Hire and manage vendors: caterer, bar and cake, decor, rentals, printing. You are their contact, not the host.
• Work with the venue: site visit, filming permission, food and decor rules, and a set-up plan that fits a 30-minute load-in.
• Run tech week and the dress rehearsal.
• On the day: run set-up, food service, guest arrivals and the timed entrance; call the show; look after the livestream audience; and make the calls when something goes wrong.
• A short weekly check-in with the host.
You have
• Produced live or experiential events where video, live music and AV come together.
• A video designer and AV tech you trust, or can find this month.
• Vendor management, including catering.
• NYC availability: a few hours a week now, more in January, and the full day of January 16.
• Discretion. The details are confidential.
To apply: send one or two events you produced (links to video if you have them), your availability, and a flat quote in two lines: your own fee, and your team (video designer and AV/playback tech). We are hiring this week.
