High School Instructor – Humanities (California Residents Only)

Compensation: $40 – $65 (based on qualifications and experience)
Class Timing: During Evening Hours (US Time zones)
Weekly Commitment: Approximately 1.5 teaching hours per course per week (subject to change based on academic requirements)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking passionate and experienced educators to teach high school students in a live online learning environment. This is a remote teaching opportunity for educators who are committed to delivering engaging, student-centered instruction while fostering critical thinking and academic success.

This is a teaching-only role, with live online classes delivered through the school’s virtual learning platform.

Teaching Assignments

Faculty may be assigned one or more of the following subjects:
• SOC103 – U.S. Government & Civics
• HUM101 – Philosophy, Psychology & Society

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver live online instruction.
• Create an engaging and interactive virtual classroom.
• Encourage active student participation.
• Deliver instruction using the school’s Learning Management System (LMS).
• Maintain professional communication with students and the academic team.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Prior teaching experience in English, Government, Civics, History, Psychology, Philosophy, or related subjects.
• Experience teaching high school students preferred.
• Prior experience teaching online or using an LMS is an advantage.
• Applicants must currently reside in California.
• Must be willing to complete the required California fingerprinting and background clearance before onboarding.

• Curriculum and instructional resources will be provided.
• Live online instruction only.
• Teaching schedules will be shared prior to course commencement.

Pay: $40.00 – $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.5 per week
