Our client, a prominent player in the arts and entertainment industry, is seeking an accomplished Lead Audio Engineer to manage and elevate their sound production operations. This is an on-site role based in Seattle, Washington, requiring a hands-on approach to all aspects of audio engineering for live performances, recordings, and multimedia projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in mixing, mastering, sound design, and technical direction, coupled with strong leadership skills. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality audio output, managing audio equipment, and mentoring a team of audio technicians.

Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of audio production for live events, studio recordings, and digital content. Mix and master audio tracks to professional broadcast and release standards. Design and implement soundscapes for various artistic productions, ensuring creative and technical excellence. Operate and maintain a wide range of audio equipment, including digital consoles, microphones, and signal processors. Troubleshoot technical audio issues during live events and in studio sessions. Collaborate with directors, producers, artists, and other technical staff to achieve desired sound outcomes. Manage audio inventory and ensure equipment is in optimal working condition. Develop and implement audio protocols and best practices. Lead, train, and mentor junior audio engineers and technicians. Stay current with advancements in audio technology, software, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Design, Music Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience as an audio engineer in live sound, studio recording, or broadcast environments. Proven experience leading audio teams and managing complex audio projects. Expertise in digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, or similar. Proficiency with various mixing consoles (digital and analog) and audio hardware. Strong understanding of acoustics, signal flow, and audio physics. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. A keen ear for detail and a passion for sound quality. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by production schedules.
