This role is pivotal in crafting the sonic landscapes that define our award-winning projects. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and implementing all audio elements, from sound effects and foley to ambient soundscapes and musical integration, ensuring a cohesive and impactful auditory experience. Your responsibilities will include directing the sound design process, mentoring junior sound designers, and collaborating closely with game directors, level designers, and composers. You will manage audio assets, ensure technical feasibility, and optimize audio performance across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in professional audio production, with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative sound design for interactive media. Proficiency in industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Cubase, or Reaper, and experience with middleware like Wwise or FMOD, are essential. A keen ear for detail, a strong understanding of acoustics, and the ability to translate creative concepts into compelling sound are paramount. Experience with real-time audio engines and procedural audio techniques is a significant plus. A bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Music Technology, or a related creative field, along with at least 8 years of professional sound design experience, is required.
