Jay’s Music Academy is an established and expanding music school dedicated to providing high-quality music education in a supportive and encouraging environment. As our student base continues to grow, we are expanding both our private lesson offerings and our innovative group music programs.

Instruments We Are Currently Seeking
We are actively looking for instructors who can teach one or more of the following:
High Priority

✅ Drums & Percussion

✅ Woodwinds
✅ Other Orchestral Instruments
Multi-instrumentalists are strongly encouraged to apply.
As we continue to expand our orchestra and ensemble programs, candidates with string instrument backgrounds are especially encouraged to reach out.
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who:
• Loves working with children, teens, and adults.
• Is patient, positive, energetic, and encouraging.
• Has strong communication skills with both students and parents.
• Is dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Has a growth mindset and enjoys continuous learning.
• Possesses solid musical knowledge and technique.
• Can teach beginner to intermediate students confidently.
• Is comfortable adapting to different teaching environments.
Private & Group Teaching
This position includes both:
🎹 Private Lessons
🎶 Small Group Classes
One day you may be teaching individual lessons, while another day you may be leading a fun and engaging group piano class.
Experience teaching groups is a plus, but not required.
If you are excited to learn and have strong musical skills, we will train the right person how to successfully teach in our group lesson environment.
We are especially interested in candidates who are open-minded, flexible, and willing to teach in a variety of educational settings.
Qualifications
Preferred but not required:
Music degree or music education background
Prior teaching experience
Experience performing live
Experience directing ensembles or group classes
