Senior Sound Designer

Our client is seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Sound Designer to join their fully remote team and contribute to their acclaimed portfolio of projects. This role is perfect for an artist who thrives on crafting immersive auditory experiences that elevate visual content. You will be responsible for the entire sound design process, from concept development to final mix, ensuring that every sound contributes to the emotional impact and narrative coherence of our productions.

Responsibilities:
Design, record, and edit sound effects, foley, dialogue, and music for various media, including (mention specific media like games, films, or VR experiences). Develop and implement sound strategies that align with the creative vision of each project. Collaborate closely with directors, game designers, and other creative team members to achieve desired auditory outcomes. Operate and manage professional audio recording equipment and software. Mix and balance audio elements to create a cohesive and polished final soundtrack. Create original sound assets using synthesis, sampling, and field recording techniques. Manage audio assets and maintain organized project files. Stay abreast of the latest audio technologies, plugins, and techniques in the industry. Provide creative input and feedback throughout the production pipeline. Mentor junior sound designers and contribute to a positive and collaborative remote working environment.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sound Designer in the entertainment industry, with a strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional sound design work. Proficiency in industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, or Ableton Live. Expertise in sound editing, mixing, mastering, and audio post-production techniques. Experience with audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD) if applicable to the media. Strong understanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics, and audio signal processing. Ability to create high-quality sound effects and ambiences from scratch. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, essential for remote teamwork. Familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
