The School of Accountancy & MIS (SOAMIS) in the Driehaus
College of Business at DePaul University in Chicago invites
applications for two full-time term (non-tenure track) faculty
positions in academic year 2026-2027.
We seek candidates who demonstrate both the ability and
willingness to teach nine courses during the academic year at the
undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates should have teaching
expertise in at least two areas, including financial and managerial
accounting, auditing, taxation, and data analytics, and should be
prepared to contribute across programs based on the School’s
curricular needs.
Successful candidates will also be expected to contribute
meaningful service to the School of Accountancy & MIS (SOAMIS).
Service responsibilities may include participation on School and
College committees, involvement in curriculum and program
initiatives, and active engagement with students through advising,
mentoring, and professional development activities. Candidates
should also be willing to support the School’s strong connections
with its broader professional community by engaging with alumni,
employers, accounting professionals, and other external
stakeholders.

Qualifications
• Master’s degree in accounting or a related field
• CPAs and other related professional designation are
preferred
• At least 5 years of professional experience or prior teaching
experience
• Ability to teach on-campus including evening classes
• Excellent communication skills
• Student engagement and mentoring ability
• Curriculum design and course development

General Compensation/Benefits
Statement
DePaul University has provided a
compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what
the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The
salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based
on factors such as (but not limited to) the qualifications,
education, experience, and training of the selected candidate, the
scope and responsibilities of the position, departmental budget
availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available
market information. The salary range for this 10-month
position is $90,000 – $95,000, commensurate with qualifications and
experience.

About DePaul University’s Academic
Calendar
Except for the College of Law, DePaul University operates on a
quarter system. Classes in Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters are
11 weeks in length (including finals week) and Summer courses, in
two sessions, are typically 5 weeks in length. The College of
Law operates on the semester system. Classes in the Fall and Spring
semesters are 16 weeks in length (including finals week) and it
offers a Summer Session of 7 weeks (including final exams).
