We are seeking a specialist to analyze and reverse-engineer the sound design and music strategy of a successful YouTube art channel (8–12 minute videos) and translate those findings into a practical, reusable music system we can apply to our own future video projects. We work in the Art content creation niche, not the same exact sub-niche. So you must be able to identify their elements and help us create a template for a similar setup with a different mood, but same overall format.
There may be some ongoing work depending on the situation.
We will provide the reference channel(s).
🔍 Scope of Work
Phase 1 — Channel Audio Analysis
You will analyze multiple videos (at least 10-20) from the reference channel and document:
– Music & Sound Characteristics
– Music genres, emotional tone, tempo ranges, energy levels.
– How music supports pacing, tension, curiosity, reflection, and payoff.
– How tracks evolve within a single video (builds, resets, transitions).
– Use of silence, ambience, texture, and minimalism.
– How repetitive or recognizable their music library appears to be.
Technical & Mixing Observations
– Relative loudness of voice vs music.
– Compression, EQ balance, stereo width, spatial feel.
– Loudness consistency across videos (approximate LUFS behavior).
– Perceived polish and clarity characteristics.
Sourcing & Licensing Hypothesis
– Likely stock music libraries or licensing platforms used.
– Evidence supporting those conclusions.
– Approximate monthly or annual licensing costs.
– Pros/cons of each option for YouTube usage and monetization.
You will provide a clear written analysis with timestamps, examples, and practical conclusions.
🎼 Phase 2 — Build a Matching Music Library & Workflow
Based on the analysis, you will:
Curate or recommend a music library (20–40 tracks) that produces a similar emotional and aesthetic effect.
Organize tracks into functional categories, such as:
Opening / intrigue
Discovery / curiosity
Calm reflection
Emotional lift
Transitions
Closing resolution
Provide:
Track tagging system (tempo, mood, intensity, narrative function).
Volume and mixing guidelines.
Looping and editing recommendations.
A simple workflow for consistently applying the system to new videos.
Recommend licensing options and costs for maintaining the library.
The goal is to create a repeatable system that delivers a consistent, high-quality viewer experience — not random background music selection.
🎯 Ideal Candidate
You are:
An experienced audio professional (sound designer, audio engineer, music supervisor, or YouTube audio specialist with experience in such channels (perhaps what is called “Youtube Automation” Channels).
Comfortable with both creative analysis and technical audio concepts.
Familiar with major stock music libraries and licensing models.
Able to translate audio insight into practical systems and workflows.
Detail-oriented and analytical.
Bonus:
Experience with documentary, essay-style YouTube channels, or cinematic storytelling.
Background in branding or sonic identity systems.
📦 Deliverables
Written analysis report.
Music library recommendations.
Categorized track list and tagging structure.
Workflow and mixing guidelines.
💰 Budget
