Our client, a leader in the Arts & Entertainment sector, is seeking a highly creative and technically proficient Senior Sound Designer to join their innovative, remote-first team. This position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US, focusing on creating immersive and impactful auditory experiences for a variety of projects, including film, video games, and interactive media. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of sound theory, advanced audio engineering skills, and a passion for crafting unique sonic landscapes that enhance narrative and user engagement.

Key responsibilities include designing, recording, editing, and mixing sound effects, Foley, dialogue, and music to meet project-specific creative and technical requirements. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sound strategies, ensuring cohesive and high-quality audio output across all platforms. This role involves working closely with directors, producers, and other creative team members to translate vision into sonic reality. Expertise in various Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live, as well as a strong understanding of audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD) for game development, is essential. The Senior Sound Designer will also be expected to manage audio assets, maintain sound libraries, and ensure efficient workflow management. Staying abreast of the latest audio technologies and techniques will be critical.

To qualify for this role, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, Film Studies, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in sound design, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse and high-quality audio work, is required. Proven experience in post-production audio for film and/or video games is essential. Exceptional skills in audio editing, mixing, sound synthesis, and mastering are mandatory. The ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate effectively in a remote setting is crucial for success in this fully remote position.
