Description

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive inpatient and
outpatient Maternal-Fetal Medicine services, including consultation
for high-risk pregnancies, detailed fetal anatomic imaging,
prenatal diagnosis, antenatal surveillance, ultrasound
interpretation, and coordinated multidisciplinary care throughout
pregnancy and delivery. The position offers opportunities to
participate in the development of clinical programs, participate in
quality improvement initiatives, and engage in clinical
research.

Position Highlights

• Join a collaborative Maternal-Fetal Medicine practice

• Care for patients with complex maternal medical conditions,
fetal anomalies, multiple gestations, placental disorders,
hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, diabetes, preterm birth risk,
and other high-acuity obstetrical conditions.

• Perform and interpret advanced obstetrical ultrasound, fetal
growth assessment, Doppler studies, cervical length assessment, and
prenatal diagnostic procedures, including amniocentesis and
chorionic villus sampling (CVS).

• Collaborate within a highly integrated multidisciplinary team
including Neonatology, Pediatric Cardiology, Genetic Counselors,
Anesthesiology, Critical Care, Adult Medicine subspecialties, and
experienced nursing and sonography teams.

• Opportunity to pursue clinical research, quality improvement,
simulation, or leadership initiatives aligned with individual
career interests.

• Support the continued growth and innovation of Maternal-Fetal
Medicine services across the Johns Hopkins Medicine system

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.

• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal-Fetal
Medicine.

• Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Maryland,
Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

• Demonstrated commitment to delivering evidence-based,
patient-centered care for medically and obstetrically complex
pregnancies.

• Interest in academic medicine, multidisciplinary collaboration,
and scholarly activity.

Salary Range

The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum
salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins
University’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all
candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary
and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include
the successful candidate’s geographic location, skills, work
experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training
and other factors, as reasonably determined by the
University.

Vaccine Requirements

Johns Hopkins University strongly encourages, but no longer

does not apply to the School of Medicine (SOM). SOM hires must be

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas,
laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving
community contact requires documentation of immune status against
Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella
(chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the
Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include
documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella
vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory
testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are
ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for
those candidates who provide results of blood tests or immunization
documentation from their own health care providers. Any
vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost
in our Occupational Health office.
